She is closely tied to the UCLA Disabilities and Computing Program.

Director, Research Computing Technologies
Bill Labate leads UCLA’s Research Computing Technologies group. With a technology background that stretches over 25 years, Bill has a special focus on high performance computing, Grid infrastructure, IT and project management as well as financial planning and analysis of IT projects. He is responsible for the OIT relationship with the Institute for Digital Research and Engineering (IDRE) and is involved with the UC System efforts focused on Grid Computing and data centers. Bill and his group provide consulting and services to the campus in the following areas:

Director, Architecture and Infrastructure Practice
Nick and his group consult with and advise campus IT and user organizations on institutional architectural frameworks, technology strategy, and planning and project evaluation methodology. The emphasis is on initiatives that cut across traditional functional boundaries and/or affect large segments of the institution. The group also assists client departments in process reengineering to support their effective deployment of new technology.

Assistant Chief Information Officer
As Assistant Chief Information Officer, Margo has responsibility for the OIT’s portfolio of activities and services and the broad alignment of staff and financial resources to ensure integration, end-to-end consistency and quality assurance of OIT’s functions. She plays a key role in campus partnerships, including with the Institute for Digital Research and Education, the Experiential Technologies Center, the California Nanosystems Institute, and the Digital Cultural Mapping Initiative. She also oversees the Research and Education Services group, which includes the Research Scholar program, the OIT web team and the Disabilities and Computing Program.

Director, IT Integration and Compliance
Jackie, in a dual role with AIS, leads the communications and programs associated with BruinTech and the key IT groups on campus such as the Information Technology Compliance Coordinators group, Computing Support Coordinators (CSC), the Help Desk Consortium, the Security Administrators Group, and the Programmer's Exchange. She is responsible for ensuring representation, coordination, contribution, accountability and communications throughout campus organizations and communities on technology projects and initiatives.

Rose Rocchio

Director, OIT Program Management
Rose and her team manage the OIT Technology Sandbox in addition to campus-wide development projects. Technology Sandbox projects include gathering requirements, leading joint-application design efforts, building and then supporting information technology systems with institution-wide deployment and support implications. Her specialized areas include strategic implementation of emerging technologies, java-based open and community source projects, database and object-oriented design.

Director, IT Licensing
Tom is responsible for campuswide IT licenses and works with his colleagues within the UC System on systemwide agreements. He also manages Software Central which negotiates, coordinates and administers the campuswide agreements that make software products available to UCLA departments at substantially discounted pricing.

Director, IT Policy
Kent provides the coordinating and technical leadership on campus actions and policy projects in areas such as privacy, security and copyright; collaborates with campus and systemwide experts for responding to external drivers and developing new policy; provides interpretation of IT policy to the campus; and oversees IT policy and security components in campus projects and initiatives.
