The Sandbox is a lab space for interdisciplinary digital scholarship research. Its technology includes computers, software, and equipment for 3D modeling, GIS, web authoring, web programming, graphics, animation, image processing, compression, and archiving applications.
The Portal
The Portal provides a state-of-the-art presentation and meeting facility. It is a space for classes, seminars, and meetings, and it can be reserved for UCLA events, with approval. The backdrop of the Portal is its massive display screen, which can be used to display anything from simple presentations to complex visualizations.
